Remembering and Celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Far too many times I take the 3 day - MLK Day long weekend for granted. Debbie Friedman and Reb Shlomo

With the passing of Debbie Freidman z'l this past week, a couple thoughts come to mind. During my junior year of college, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach zt'l passed away suddenly during a flight to Canada. I remember the day it happened because some of the other students and friends of mine were talking about it during lunch at the Hillel cafeteria.
